Tenant Secured. Server Exposed?

Finishing the cloud-email deployment doesn't finish incident response for the customer's servers.
A locked cloud mailbox sits beside a model office whose remaining doors and operating processes need attention.

Finishing the cloud-email deployment doesn't finish incident response for the customer's servers. When suspicious privileged activity appears, somebody still needs the authority, tools, and records to act. Trace that response across the whole environment before a real incident tests the handoff.

Those questions belong in the operating plan before the first incident. Microsoft services can supply important capabilities, but the customer's selected services and configuration determine the coverage. A mailbox deployment doesn't assign every response responsibility across the rest of the environment.

AIC Enterprise Privilege Suite™ includes incident records and response workflows, with alerts when the messaging path is configured. Its privileged-session controls let an authorized operator observe or terminate managed sessions. Credential rotation and configuration checks provide additional actions for the systems the suite manages.

Consider an unexpected privileged session during an approved maintenance window. The responder needs to identify the operator and target, review the available activity, and decide whether to end the session. Preserve the incident record and investigate other access paths; terminating one session doesn't establish that the intruder is gone.

The customer's Microsoft security tools, SIEM, MSP, and AIC can each have a useful role. Agree who receives the signal, who authorizes containment, and where the evidence is retained. Make sure the people on call have the access they need before the exercise starts.

For AIC CMMC Complete™ deployments, the customer and its chosen providers operate the environment. AIC supplies the commercial software. The response plan must name the people who will use it.

A small team can start with one clear response recipe: identify the event, assign the responder, take the authorized action, and retain the record. AIC provides guides and training materials with the products at no additional charge. Incident records, managed-session observation and termination, credential rotation, and configuration checks give the responder specific actions and records in the same suite.

Bring a server incident scenario to a demonstration. We'll trace the managed-session record, response action, and retained evidence, then discuss how those steps fit the Microsoft and provider services you already use. Include your providers in the discussion. Tell us where the handoff breaks: the alert, the authority to terminate a session, the credential rotation, or the evidence retained for review.
